Holiday jingle wins $500

The Griffin Pond Animal Shelter won a $500 prize in the 2012 Frontier Holiday Jingle Sweepstakes with a jingle titled The Christmas Paws, written by shelter volunteer Lee Koppenhaver. The organization won the online contest with a total of 140 votes and 245 likes.

The contest was open to local non-profit organizations, and additional winners include: $1,000 grand prize winner CP Rochester, with 292 votes and 340 likes; $500 prize winner Chase Memorial Nursing Home, with 126 votes and 165 likes; and $500 prize winner Blue Chip Farms Animal Refuge, with 186 votes and 97 likes.
