The Peg Fassett Performance Studio at the Dietrich Theater in Tunkhannock is now graced with a portrait of Fassett by Marylou Chibirka. Fassett is portrayed as the strong woman she was, a force of nature for her time.

A hunter, a pilot, a mother of four and to many Town Mother in Tunkhannock, she supported many organizations and endeavors. It is fitting that her children have honored her by dedicating a performance studio in her name and embellished it with a portrait by Marylou Chirbirka.

Chirbirka, a Dalton resident, is a full- time portrait artist who resides on her family farm. She has painted more than 250 portraits and exhibited widely in the area.
