Lackawanna Trail students qualify for Johns Hopkins talented youth search

Ten seventh grade students from Lackawanna Trail High School in Factoryville have qualified for the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth. The purpose of the talent search is to identify assess and recognize the academic abilities of highly able students.

To qualify for the search, a student must score in the 95th percentile or high in a reason section of a nationally-normed test. Students with state tests result categorized at the highest levels of performance (such as advanced, distinguished, exceeds and honors) are also eligible to participate.

Qualifying students include: Ryan Schur, Connor Ferguson, Zachary Oulton and Hershal Ferguson; Mikayla Stuenzi, Carolyn Mack, Autumn Hendershot, Lauren Beemer, Alexandra Kwiatkowski and Alaina Jones.
