Local trucking company begins hurricane relief effort

Kane is Able Trucking will place a trailer at the Archbald Borough Municipal Building today to kick off a 10 day relief drive for Hurricane Sandy.

After the drive is completed, a Kane driver will take the donations to a relief point in the metro New York-New Jersey area designated by the American Red Cross. All the municipalities in Lackawanna County are encouraged to participate in the relief drive.

The borough building is located at 400 Church St., Archbald.
