McGrath's Pub, Dalton, hosted a Pub for Paws fundraiser Dec. 2.

The event featured live music by local bands, prizes, gift baskets and 50/50 drawings.

Haus McGrath, owner Jimmy McGrath's dog, was killed by a driver Oct. 31. A friend of Jimmy's, Linda Serniak, suggested having a benefit to honor his dog and help other pets.

Fifty percent of the proceeds were donated to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, with the other half going to True Friends Animal Welfare Center, Montrose.
