Ten seventh grade students from Lackawanna Trail High School have qualified for the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth. The purpose of the talent search is to identify assess and recognize the academic abilities of highly able students. To qualify, a student must score in the 95th percentile or higher in a reason section of a nationally-normed test. Students with state tests result categorized at the highest levels of performance (such as advanced, distinguished, exceeds and honors) are also eligible to participate.
