UNC awarded Fair Housing grant to educate four counties

United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) was recently awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Developmentā??s Fair Housing Initiatives Program.

UNC was one of only six organizations in the state selected to receive funding from a total of 99 nationally.

The grant will be used to provide services and outreach to four counties: Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike and Wayne. UNC will conduct educational forums, seminars and other activities on fair housing laws and help educate protected classes on their rights.
