Wyoming Seminary to present Annual Christmas Concert

The concert is free and open to the public. The select Madrigal Singers will perform The Magnificat by Estonian classical composer Arvo Pärt as well as a selection of 16th and 17th century songs and madrigals. The Chorale also will present another setting of the song of the Blessed Virgin Mary, The Magnificat in C Major by Franz Schubert, in addition to seasonal music and a Muskogee Indian song, ??Heleluyan.? The String Ensemble will perform the Concerto Grosso in D Major by Corelli.
John M. Vaida, chair of Wyoming Seminary??s Fine and Performing Arts Department, will direct the Madrigal Singers and Chorale while artist-in-residence Christiane Appenheimer-Vaida will conduct the String Ensemble.
