SCRANTON — Several Abington area lifters excelled in the USA Powerlifting 2015 Raw Nationals Oct. 16-18 at the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center.

Three Abington Heights students placed first overall in their respective division and weight class:

• Kayleigh Tokash squatted 199 lbs., benched of 100 lbs. and deadlifted 226 lbs. to win the 114 lb. girls high school division.

• Matt Devine squatted 260 lbs., benched 182 lbs. and deadlifted 358 lbs. to win the 116 lb. boys high school division.

• Landon York squatted 205 lbs., benched 248 lbs. and deadlifted 446 lbs. to win the 205 lb. boys high school division.

Clarks Summit resident Dalton LaCoe squatted 352 lbs., benched 248 lbs. and deadlifted 512 lbs. to win the 116 lb. junior division.

Samantha LaCoe, Dalton’s sister, squatted 260 lbs., benched 143 lbs. and deadlifted 297 lbs. to place second in the 134 lb. female college division.
