You are invited to walk with the Abington Community Library in the Clarks Summit Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 28. If you wish to walk with us, meet at the flagpole at the Clarks Summit Elementary School at 10:30 a.m. No registration is required. The library will provide bookmarks and candy to be handed out. Other things to bring might include a water bottle, wagons/strollers, or even your dog! If you have a library t-shirt, wear it. Otherwise, wear red, white, or blue. All ages welcome.

SummerQuest, a dynamic new twist on Summer Reading Club for all ages, will run from June 18 until Aug. 10. Register early beginning June 11. When you register, pick up an activity log that you may use to earn prizes or raffle tickets as you work through different levels. Read, create, learn, and spend time together as a family to fill out the log. Find exciting library events throughout the summer for all ages like a Reptile Show, Harry Potter Book Club, and a visit from the Zoomobile. Pick up a brochure for your age group and enjoy programs like Messy Science for kids and teens, Science Playtime for preschoolers, and Social Book Club for adults and teens.

Try something new this summer and join us for our first Book Tasting. Expand your literary palate and stop by between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, June 28 to browse high interest books from various genres. Fill out a menu to create your summer booklist, and check out what you can’t wait to get started reading. All ages are welcome and no registration is required.
