Welcome Summer! Dalton Community Library is looking forward to patrons visiting now that school is over for this year and vacations have begun.
Saturday Spotlight just finished up at the end of May. We had a good turnout and many interesting ideas were discussed. We plan on starting up again in September.
Our Bridge group has returned and we encourage anyone that enjoys playing to join us on Tuesday mornings, 10 a.m. to noon. Beginners are welcome and encouraged as we have players that are happy to teach.
If you are an experienced player come challenge us! Please come join us!
Dalton Community Library’s Summer Program for 2022 will run from June 20 through August 12. This summer we will continue our sign language learning with new themes, activities and an added bonus of learning Chinese!
If you participated in our Spring Kids’ Time program, this will not be a repeat, but an extension of the learning you have already received as well as a helpful review to keep the skills you have. You can expect a story that utilizes the vocabulary in sign language and Chinese as well as a fun activity to practice what we have learned. Come and enjoy a fun filled time learning new languages and about different cultures. We will be meeting Thursday afternoons, 3:30 to 4:30.
Hope to see you there! Call the library for further details. 570-563-2014. Be sure to check out Beanstack (lclshome.beanstack.org) for further details on Lackawanna County Libraries’ Summer activities and for keeping a record of your Summer reading.
Summer Library hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are closed Wednesday and Sunday. Enjoy the beginning of Summer and hope to see you soon!
