SOUTH ABINGTON TWP. — PS Bank, with its 108-year history of service, headquartered in Wyalusing, recently opened its newest Lackawanna County addition, the PS Bank Business Center at 223 Northern Boulevard.

Opening its doors on Aug. 22, the Business Center is home to regional bank administration, other lending professionals, and PS Mortgage personnel who’ve been afforded the opportunity to relocate from the former location in Clarks Green into the new center which has the capacity for increased lines of business, according to a release from the company.

President and CEO, Anthony J. Gabello remarked of the new location, “With the development of the PS Bank Business Center, our community bank can now expand its offerings to customers in all of our markets. The establishment of this new location marks an exciting time for our bank, and we look forward to seeing our employees and loan customers utilize the new location.”

Of course, PS Bank will still be serving Lackawanna County’s retail banking needs as well, from its Clark Summit branch at 100 Old Lackawanna Trail, which opened in 2016.

Gabello, who has been a lifelong Lackawanna County resident and a South Abington resident for the last 25 years, is certainly well aware of his community, its needs, and believes in not only providing top-notch customer service but giving back as well.

“Since becoming a part of the Lackawanna County community with the opening of our branch in 2016, we have had bankers who are involved in the Abington Business Professionals Association, Rotary, Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, Executive Referral Network, Business Network International,” Gabello said, and further noted that PS Bank employees have donated to a litany of local organizations. First responders, for example, have not only received monetary donations, but can also enjoy discounted lending options.

Furthermore, PS Bank is active in volunteering with organizations such as NeighborWorks of NEPA and the United Was and enjoys a strong relationship with Child Hunger Outreach Partners.

“Our new facility certainly gives us more space to allow for community organizations to gather, so we hope to bring more of that to PS Bank in the future,” Gabello mentioned.

The new Business Center, of course, brings more jobs to the region as well as the presence of PS Bank expands.

Gabello and PS Bank are aware that it’s their customers that have allowed for this growth, and extend their gratitude.
