With a $2,500 contribution from PNC Bank, Scranton Tomorrow will launch its holiday campaign, Deck the Downtown, in November. The campaign promotes shopping and dining in the Downtown Scranton Business District during the holiday season.

“Our holiday campaign is designed to bolster the City’s economy through promotions that showcase the unique array of businesses in Downtown Scranton,” said Leslie Collins, president and CEO of Scranton Tomorrow. “This is the second year that PNC has supported our holiday initiatives, and we deeply appreciate the bank’s generosity as we launch this year’s campaign. We encourage everyone in the community to explore more than 60 restaurants and over 100 retailers in the Downtown Business District during the holidays.” Deck the Downtown runs from November 1 through January 6, 2023. Promotions include:

November 1 – January 6, 2023, Downtown Drive-Thru: Via social media, Scranton Tomorrow will remind everyone in the community that many Downtown shops and eateries offer the convenience of curbside pickup and delivery in addition to indoor shopping and dining. The official Downtown Drive-Thru car will appear throughout the season on Scranton Tomorrow’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

Nov. 1 – Dec. 17, Home for the Holidays: Before they head home for the holidays, college students in Scranton will enjoy special incentives and promotions from participating businesses in Downtown Scranton with the presentation of a valid student ID.

Nov. 23 – Jan. 6, 2023, Holiday Window Showcase: The Holiday Window Showcase features magical holiday displays in dozens of businesses in Downtown Scranton. Displays officially open the night before Thanksgiving, making this charming tradition the perfect way to celebrate the season with family and friends.

Nov. 25, Downtown Scranton Black Friday: Participating businesses will offer seasonal promotions, gift cards, and more on one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

Nov. 26, Small Business Saturday: American Express created this national movement to increase sales for small businesses across the country. Now in its 14th year, Scranton Tomorrow organizes Small Business Saturday in Downtown Scranton. The initiative offers special promotions and unique gifts in the Downtown Business District. Shoppers will be encouraged to spread the joy on social media using #shopsmall, #smallbiz, #supportlocal, #shoplocal, #dinelocal.

Nov. 27 – Jan. 1, ’Tis the Season Sundays: Support local all weekend long as participating shops and eateries offer special Sunday hours during the holiday season.

Nov. 28 – Downtown Scranton Cyber Monday: Supporting local businesses is easier than ever as Downtown Scranton businesses participate in Cyber Monday.

Dec. 1 – Dec. 25, 25 Days of Downtown: This social media campaign will feature a different business daily on Scranton Tomorrow’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Tributes will include testimonials, videos, and photos of business owners to highlight the significant impact of local businesses in the community.

Dec. 18, Holiday Open House: Spend the Sunday before Christmas in Downtown Scranton. Retailers will offer holiday incentives, restaurants will be open, and visitors to the Downtown will enjoy live music, hot cocoa and more at participating businesses.
