INTERNSHIP FAIR
Keystone College will host an internship and career fair on Thursday, Oct. 5, from Noon to 2:30 p.m. in Gambal Athletic Center. Approximately 50 local employers will attend. This is an opportunity for students to learn and speak more in detail about the offerings of the organization, while employers get the opportunity to meet students from every class year and major to find that perfect intern or employee.

MURAL DEDICATION
Scranton Tomorrow will celebrate the installation of The Office: The Story of Us mural by Hagopian Arts at a special event open to the public, starting at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 at 503 Lackawanna Ave.. The mural is made possible with support from Universal Television and Peacock, and premier sponsor Lackawanna County Visitors Bureau.

REMEMBRANCE WALK
The Sacred Heart Remembrance Walk will be held on Oct. 7 at McDade Park. Registration begins at 8:30 am and the walk will kick off at 10 am. The Wright Center is the presenting sponsor. The one-mile walk around scenic McDade Park is wheelchair accessible and pet-friendly. The $25 registration fee ($30 after September 20th) includes lunch and a long-sleeve t-shirt with a customizable pin-on bib, so participants can walk in memory of a loved one. Teams of five or more are $20 each and children 12 and under are free. There will be a DJ, basket raffle, children’s activities, a ceremonial bell ringing and ice cream. Proceeds from the walk will help support Hospice of the Sacred Heart programs and services. OCTOBER FEST DINNER
The Dalton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary will host its annual October Fest Dinner from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 12 at the Glenburn Grill on Route 611, north of Clarks Summit. Raffle baskets will be available.

RUMMAGE SALE
The Countryside Community Church, 14011 Oarchard Drive, Clarks Summit, will host a rummage sale from 9 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, and Saturday, Oct. 14. Household goods, clothing, linens, tools, furniture and antiques will be available at reasonable prices. Refreshments will be available both days and there will be a bake sale. The Countryside Community Church, 14011 Oarchard Drive, Clarks Summit, will host a trunk or treat from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21.

TRUNK OR TREAT
Scranton Tomorrow will host a Trunk or Treat from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, on the 100 and 200 blocks of Wyoming Avenue, Scranton. There will be a private hour from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for Abilities 21 Special Needs Group of NEPA. No registration is required to attend. Bring a bag to collect treats. The first 500 children receive a goody bag. There will be games, concessions and entertainment.
DUTCH AUCTION
The Countryside Community Church, 14011 Oarchard Drive, Clarks Summit, will hold a Dutch auction from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28. Proceeds will benefit the church’s youth fellowship. The Auction will feature a pot luck dinner at 5 p.m. and then move onto the auction.

THANKSLIVING CELEBRATION
The Indraloka Animal Sanctuary will host its annual Thanksliving celebration from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 4. Guests will enjoy a season, plant-based, catered meal, live music, a raffle, a silent auction and more. The cost is $84.99 per person. Registration is required and space is limited. Thanksliving has sold out every year, so make your reservations early.

FALL FESTIVAL/FOOD SALE
St. John’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Mayfield, will host a fall festival and food sale from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, and Saturday, Nov. 11 at the church center on Hill Street. On Friday, Nov. 10: St. John’s Pirogie, Cabbage & Noodles and Clam Chowder will be sold. On Saturday, Nov. 11: Pirogie, Cabbage & Noodles, Clam Chowder, Italian Wedding Soup, Cabbage Rolls, City Chicken, Pulled Pork Sandwiches and Sausage & Pepper Sandwiches will be sold. Vendors/Crafters will be located on the upper level of St. John’s Center along with Homemade Baked Goods & Homemade Cookies, Kolachi, Basket Raffle, January Lottery Tickets and Christmas Cash Tickets. The public is invited to attend.
