Lackawanna County Commissioner Chris Chermak and members of the Lackawanna County Veterans Affairs Office secured the dog tags and service medals of the late Army veteran Thomas Dooley. The department was able to secure them after various contacts and research. Six medals were presented to his son, Richard, at a brief gathering. They included his Viet Nam Service Medal with two stars, Purple Heart, Armed Forces Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and National Defense Service Medal.
