The cold weather temperatures and heavy winter clothing will soon give way to warmer weather and lighter spring and summer clothing.

La Chic Boutique By Kim will have all the latest fashions and designs in clothing for the warmer weather.

The store is located at 312 South St. in Clarks Summit. Kim Pomasan is the owner and purchased the store on March 1, 2023. The store recently had its first anniversary.

The store carries clothing brands including POL, Liverpool, Adore, Apricot, Zaket and Plover, Tempo Paris, Astrid among others.

“We are always looking to add new fun designers and we carry a full line of L’Artiste shoes. We also have bags and accessories. Lots of jewelry and unusual pieces. We also carry a line of soaps and candles home grown by a military family,” Pomasan said.

The store carries blouses, sweaters, pants, coats, jackets, hats, gloves among other items. The clothing displays will change with the spring and summer seasons.

Cinthia Garcia works at the store. She is a sophomore student at the University of Scranton and is majoring in accounting.

“I like looking at the new clothes coming in. Working with Kim is a blast,” she said.

“The end of any season is always a great time for sales. We’ve had a lot of sales to purge winter yet we still have some great savings going on. We have wonderful things for spring and summer. Lovely fabrics and amazing styles to keep you cool. Lots of dresses, wide leg pants and amazing pant suits. The summer shoes and sandals are gorgeous. I just want people to feel good and be happy,” Pomasan said.

“It is lovely store. The previous owner was lovely and so is the new one. The store has beautiful clothing, great variety and reasonable prices,” customer Joany Bonczek said.

“I’ve been a stylist for 40 years and an owner/independent for so many of those years. I just want people to feel good and be happy. Hopefully it’s from something I’ve chosen and can help them with. The customers say they like it because the collections are very different. They like boutique shopping because it is not like “carbon copy” dressing. I like it when the ladies tell me it feels good in here. In a few years, I hope to familiarize myself with more with the community and continue to grow. When small businesses thrive, we can give back to the community in great ways,” Pomasan said.

The store is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
