Dalton Community Library is springing into action this season.
We are looking forward to various activities for the month of April.
In celebration of National Library Week, April 7t-13, our Spring Book and Bake Sale will be held on Saturday, April 20, from noon to 2 p.m. in the basement of the library. We greatly appreciate the generous donations we have already received. No more donations will be accepted until May 1, so we can prepare for the sale.
Our flower fundraiser will be going on until April 30. Anyone that wishes to participate can ask at the library desk or call for more information. The flower baskets will be delivered to the library before Mother’s Day.
Our Kids’ Time and young adult activities began at the end of March and will go on for 8 weeks.
The Kids’ Time group meets every Thursday 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. We are offering sign language, Chinese language and coding.
The young adult group meets 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and enjoy chess, Chinese checkers and Stratego and mind- expanding games.
Our Saturday spotlight book discussion group will meet on April 27 from 10:30 p.m. to noon.
We will shine a light on “The Book of Flora Lea,” by Patti Callahan Henry, as our reading selection this month. Please feel free to join us. New participants are always welcome.
The Dalton Community Library Bridge group is in in in full swing and meets every Tuesday 10 a.m. to noon. Our library greatly appreciates the participation of all ages in our programs. Please stop into the library and check out our displays and new books and DVD’s that have arrived this year so far.
