House of Hamill

Harmony In The Woods will open its fourth season of live entertainment on Friday, July 5, with returning fan favorites, House of Hamill, and their upbeat and unique blend of harmony-driven Celtic Folk. On Saturday, July 6, opening weekend continues with area celebrity and boogie woogie pianist, Wade Preston. Known for his longtime run on Broadway playing Billy Joel, Wade and his trio will play original favorites and time-honored Billy Joel classics.

Harmony’s second weekend brings jazz, blues, and world music to The Woods. Friday, July 12, features “Jazz Group of the Year” nominee, The Lao Tizer Band (Quartet), making their debut at Harmony In The Woods with flavors of Jazz, R&B, Funk & World Music. Formally all instrumental, the quartet now includes American Idol finalist, Elliott Yamin, drum phenom Tony Austin and Senegalese bassists and producer, Cheikh N’Doye. This all-star cast of musicians promises a high energy ride through a variety of flavors and styles. Creative Director Jill Carletti says, “Our audiences always ask for more jazz in our summer lineup. Lao Tizer and his all-star band will not disappoint.”

Saturday, July 13, features another debut to the Harmony stage, Eddie 9V. Eddie 9V started his career at the age of 15 and has a dedicated following on the blues scene, but you don’t have to go to Kansas City or the south to hear it. His brand of music incorporates all the classic heart, soul, and history of the golden age of blues singers from the late 60’s. Classic Rock praised him as “the most instinctive blues you’ll hear all year.”
