Imagine NEPA Performing Arts Center to present ‘Almost, Maine’
DALTON — Imagine NEPA Performing Arts Center, 113 Church St., will present “Almost, Maine,” on Friday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 8, both at 7 p.m. Written by John Cariani, it is a series separated into eight vignettes. They are humorous and beautiful stories about found love, lost love and love in jeopardy.
Two to three actors perform in each scene. They all have a significant role playing everyday folks who undergo relationships while living in a small town.
Imagine NEPA has been rehearsing “Almost, Maine” for three weeks under the direction of Imagine NEPA owner Katie Lane. Co-owner Samantha Christ is the tech director. The cast and crew worked together to source all of the costumes and props. Some of the Imagine NEPA children, whose parents are in the play, volunteered to help with the production.
“I think the production is beautiful, funny, and enjoyable to watch,” said Lane. “It would be a great date night show, but it is also family-friendly, overall, if you have kiddos who like plays and not musicals. The tech is also beautiful, and we loved the challenge of creating an immersive “Northern Lights” experience in the theater.”
