Embracing a patriotic theme in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, downtown Scranton business owners recently participated in Scranton Tomorrow’s fourth annual Downtown Scranton Business Class Floral Competition.
The contest was held in partnership with the Electric City Flower Show.
Selected by members of the community who voted online for their favorite creative container displays, winners were honored at the Flower Power Happy Hour at the Everhart Museum of Natural History, Science and Art.
First place was awarded to The 16th Ward. Pizza by Pappas earned second place, and Northern Light Espresso Bar & Café won third place.
The contest was part of Scranton City Pride, a joint project of Scranton Tomorrow, NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania, and United Neighborhood Center of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) supported by Penn State Master Gardeners in Lackawanna County and Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful.
