CLARKS SUMMIT — Deaf and hard of hearing children and their families were treated to a story time, cookies and hot cocoa with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who communicated with them in American Sign Language. The event, held Dec. 12 in the Abington Community Library’s children’s library, was presented in partnership with The Scranton School for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children. Santa read to the group the holiday classic “The Night Before Christmas,” illustrated by Jan Brett, before visiting with each child individually.
