PECKVILLE — Participants will stretch, breathe and hike at Explorer Yoga on the Trail on Saturday, May 6, at Blakely Borough Recreation Complex in Peckville, weather permitting. Registration opens at 8 a.m. with the program starting at 9 a.m. Lackawanna Heritage Valley National and State Heritage Area (LHV) and Jaya Yoga will host the program to promote health, wellness and the natural beauty of the region.

Hilary Steinberg, owner and instructor of Jaya Yoga, Clarks Summit, will lead a combined session of yoga and hiking along the trail. The program is open to people age 12 and older, and yogis of all skill levels are welcome to Explorer Yoga on the Trail.

Pre-registration is required by May 3. Yoga mats will be provided to all pre-registered participants. Tickets are free, with donations accepted. To sign up, visit bit.ly/2p0WskE.

Blakely Borough Recreation Complex is located at the intersection of Keystone Ave. and River St. in Peckville. Explorer Yoga participants should enter on the Keystone Ave. side of the park.
