CLARKS SUMMIT — The Gathering Place on State Street is housed in the community’s former firehouse and serves as a hub for educational, recreational and artistic programs and activities. Per a release from the Lackawanna County Commissioners, the atmosphere of this “inspiring classroom” is informal and comfortable, encouraging people to meet, mingle and share ideas that can be turned into “Good Works.” The Gathering Center is committed to facilitating a passion for lifelong learning and an environment filled with creative energy.
