Abington Christian Academy student Madison Lutz displays her artwork, which was awarded the Best of Show Mary H. Karhnak Award for grades K-6 in the school department at this year’s Harford Fair. Lutz, a fifth-grade student, received a ribbon and an engraved clock for her winning entry. In addition, her name was added to each of the perpetual plagues that hang in the Schoolhouse on the fairgrounds each year during fair week. Lutz’s art teacher is Annette Brush. The lesson that led to the prize-winning artwork was based on the collage techniques and books by Eric Carle.
