CLARKS SUMMIT — Abington Heights senior Will Carey is initiating a game night for the community to take place the second Wednesday of each month at The Gathering Place, 304 S. State St. The first is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 8.

The goal of the event is to bring in people of all ages from the community. Attendees may bring their own games or play those provided by The Gathering Place, such as Clue, Sorry, checkers, dominoes and more.

Carey designed the game nights to accommodate different interests.

“We’ll have the main room dedicated to board games like chess and Sorry that can be played quickly,” he said in a news release. “Other rooms are set up for longer duration games like Monopoly.”

This is an opportunity for the people who love games to come together, meet new people and explore their competitive natures. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 570-881-7612 or visit gatheringplacecs.org.
