SCRANTON — Marywood University’s music, theatre and dance department will offer the following concerts and performances for all ages throughout the month of December, all free and open to the public.
• A Guitar Christmas Concert, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 at the Marian Chapel in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.
• The Junior Wind Band Celebration Concert, 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 on the main stage of the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts.
• The Chamber Singers Concert, 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3 in the Marian Chapel in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.
• Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 in the Rotunda in the Liberal Arts Center. Marywood University’s music program will provide Christmas entertainment as the campus community kicks off the season.
• The Wind Symphony Concert, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the Holy Family Residence, 2500 Adams Ave.
• Concert Choir Concert, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10 in the Rotunda in the Liberal Arts Center.
• Vocal Recital, 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11 in the Marian Chapel in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.
• An Evening of Strings Concert, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12 in the Marian Chapel in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.
• The String Project Concert, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 on the main stage of the Sette LaVerghetta Center of Performing Arts.
