Actors Circle seeks play submissions: The community theater group is seeking submissions for its 2018/2019 season. Tuba Christmas, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Viewmont Mall in Scranton. Presented by Marywood University’s music, theatre, and dance department, the concert is directed and conducted by Michael Parker. Tuba and euphonium players of all ages and abilities are welcome to perform. Registration for the performance will take place at 3 p.m., with a rehearsal at 4 p.m., at the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts, on the university’s campus. Marywood University’s Concert Choir performance, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9, and 3 p.m. Dec. 10 in the university’s rotunda. The choir, which holds a concert in the rotunda once every few years, will perform in a 360-degree circle on the second floor of the rotunda, with the audience seated below. Featuring Josef Rheinberger’s Cantus Missae for double chorus a cappella, along with unaccompanied motets, a vocal musical composition, by Victoria, Gabrieli, Howells, Charles Wood, Daniel Elder and Frank La Rocca.
