FACTORYVILLE — Members of the Factoryville Borough Council approved a 2018 budget of $326,428.00, consisting of 18.2 general purpose mills and two mills for the fire company during a regular meeting Dec. 13. There are no changes from last year. The borough last raised taxes in 2016.

Members of the council approved a motion to remove the no parking signs across the street from the fire hall building on College Avenue, subject to an agreement with the fire department.

The department recently moved into a new building in neighboring Clinton Township.

Members of the council also approved a motion to request an extension from the Wyoming County Redevelopment Authority for roadwork on Church Street. If the borough is granted the extension, all work must be completed by May.
