For the last 17 years, employees at Highland Associates in Clarks Summit partnered with Friendship House in Scranton to help children in need. Each child who receives care at Friendship House creates a Christmas paper symbol on which they write an item wished for. Highland Associates employees then select one of the children’s wishes for Christmas, purchase the item, gift wrap it and place the child’s cutout on the gift. Employees were also given the option this year to make a monetary donation. Accepting the donations are, from left, Laura Suarez, foster care case manager; Stacy Dori, foster care and adoption program manager; and Cara Kobeski, foster care case manager with Friendship House.
