SCRANTON — McGrail, Merkel, Quinn & Associates, P.C. (MMQ) Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, Scranton, acquired the business and tax practice of James R. Verano, CPA, based in Clarks Summit. MMQ is a regional CPA firm serving Northeastern Pennsylvania and the surrounding states. Both firms have practiced in the area for many years prior to the merger.
This consolidation offers the opportunity for the firms to offer specialized services while maintaining the continuity of personal contacts.
Verano will be available for ongoing client support. The combined firm will serve a variety of client needs, including financial statement audits, business and personal tax services, business valuations, as well as ongoing consulting support to small business clients.
