Lackawanna College offers EMT program for spring semester

SCRANTON — Lackawanna College is accepting applications for an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training course that begins on Saturday, March 3, and ends Thursday, Jun. 7. The program will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at the EMS Academy, located in Healey Hall, 501 Vine St.

This course is a prerequisite of students to enroll in the EMS Academy’s Paramedic Program.

The EMS Academy at Lackawanna College is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). The Academy offers programs aspiring paramedics and emergency medical technicians need to be successful in the workforce. Students learn best practices in providing critical care to sick and injured patients and master skills essential to coordinate and manage emergency medical systems.

Lackawanna College will also accept applications for a full time paramedic course starting Jul. 23.
