SCRANTON — Actors Circle will bring Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” back to the Providence Playhouse stage March 8-11 and 15-18.

The community theater group first produced the play in 2004.

Cathy Rist Strauch and Mike Lally are reprising their roles of Miss Casewell and Major Metcalf, respectively, and Sam Troy, who then portrayed Detective Sergeant Trotter, will now step into the shoes of Mr. Paravicini. Troy is also directing this show for the second time. Susan Parrick will perform as Mollie Ralston, Eric Lutz as Giles Raston, Peter Miles as Christopher Wren, Kaylah Hodgins as Mrs. Boyle and Mark Fryer as Trotter.

In the mystery play, which holds the world record for the longest-running stage production, a snowstorm traps a group of strangers with an unknown killer.

The show will be presented at Providence Playhouse, 1256 Providence Road. Show times are 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $12 for general admission, $10 for seniors and $8 for students. Admission to the March 8 show is discounted at $8 for general and seniors and $6 for students.

For reservations, call 570-342-9707 or email tickets@actorscircle.com. For more information, visit the group’s Facebook page at bit.ly/2oiuWP2.
