Keystone College hosts workshop on nature-inspired children’s literature

LA PLUME — Award-winning children’s author and illustrator Lindsay Barrett George will lead a hands-on workshop at the Keystone College Environmental Education Institute (KCEEI) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 7.

The workshop is designed to help aspiring writers tap their creative side and develop and illustrate nature-based children’s books. She will also offer guidance on developing stories that publishers are seeking and tips for getting books published. Participants will have an opportunity to write and illustrate a short children’s story during the day or share story ideas for critique and helpful feedback.

George is the author of a more than a dozen books, including a popular “Who’s Been Here” series, which focuses on visitors in the garden, in the woods, around the pond and around the world.
