SCRANTON — Lackawanna College has been awarded $19,991 in funding through the 2017-2018 Governor’s It’s On Us PA Grant Program. The college is one of 39 post-secondary institutions across the state slated to receive this funding, which helps colleges and universities address and respond effectively to sexual violence on campus.
Lackawanna College is committed to upholding and implementing the three pillars of the It’s On Us campaign: support for survivors of sexual violence, bystander intervention and consent education.
As part of the governor’s It’s On Us PA Grant Program, Lackawanna College seeks to encourage dialogue and action through comprehensive strategies, including a variety of events that involve interactive activities, nationally acclaimed speakers, student-to-student mentoring and social media engagement. The Lackawanna College Athletics department will be instrumental in encouraging dialogue and action.
