S. ABINGTON TWP. — The first class to graduate from the Abington Heights Senior High School building on Noble Road will return this summer to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its graduation.

The weekend reunion, slated for July 20-22, will start with a casual party at the State Street Grill on Friday night. Saturday actives will include a closed tour of the high school building and a banquet at the Ramada. The weekend will close with a breakfast on Sunday.

A committee was formed last year to contact classmates. Two hundred and 10 classmates were contacted, but help is needed to find the remaining 11 missing classmates.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the following 1968 graduates is asked to contact Ron Moskalczak, 929 Hemlock St., Scranton, PA, 18505 or email ahhs1968plus50@gmail.com.

The committee is searching for Robert Boynton, Gail Christ, Robert Hopon, Carolann Kachinski, Carol Krupka, Mary Ellen Kelleher, Pearl Pasternak, Carol Ross, Susan Sebasky, James Stanton and Peggy Williams.

A few classmates have rented vacation homes at local lakes in the area for the week and others are flying in from California and Florida. The committee found 63 classmates live within 10 miles of the Abington Heights High School.

The reunion committee consists of Keith Armburst, Beth Perry, Russ Collins, Susan Comerford Wzorek, Paula Kiley Placko, Charles Mercer, Ron Moskalczak, Phillip Sweet, Dave Trishman and Chris Yanish Levin.
