CLARKS SUMMIT — Blue and white balloons tied to parking meters lined South State Street Tuesday afternoon as an excited crowd gathered near the Grove Street corner. “WE ARE AH” signs hung in the windows of almost every business along the downtown stretch, and more signs were proudly displayed in the hands of community members, there to see the Abington Heights Comets boys basketball team off to Hershey. With car horns and cheers filling the air as the bus and its police and fire escort drove by, the District 2 champions were off to face District 7 champion Mars for the state title at the GIANT Center.
