Pancake and Sausage Breakfast, 8 to 11 a.m. June 9 at Dalton United Methodist Church, 125 S. Turnpike Road. Cost: $8 for adult dinners, $4 for children’s dinners. Eggs will be available for an additional $1.

Chicken & Biscuit or Ham Dinner, 4 to 6 p.m. June 20 at Clifford United Methodist Church, Main Street. Take out and dine in options available. Cost: $9.95, includes dinner, drink and dessert.

BOOK SALES, MARKETS & VENDOR FAIRS

Mountain View Garden Club’s 14th Annual Plant Exchange and Marketplace, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 3 at the Clifford Township Community Center. Features local vendors and artisans, a plant sale and exchange, food, music and more.

10th annual Forest Hill Cemetery Tour and Book Release Celebration, 1 p.m. June 3 at Forest Hill Cemetery, 1830 Jefferson Ave., Dunmore. Admission: free. No reservations required. The tour will feature the featuring the Slocum Hollow Historians. Following the tour will be the book release and signing of the new local book, Forest Hill Cemetery (Images of America Series) by Arcadia Publishing. Books will be available for purchase and the authors, Margo L. Azzarelli and Marnie Azzarelli will be on hand to sign copies. OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS

Great Clarks Summit Cleanup, 10 a.m. to noon June 2 in the borough. Councilman Patrick Williams will organize volunteers to go to the area parks and help make them beautiful. Anyone willing to volunteer should wear appropriate attire and meet in the front of the Clarks Summit Borough Building, 304 S State St, Clarks Summit, at 10 a.m. Gloves, trash bags, and safety vests will be provided.

Medication Take-Back Event, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 2 at The Gathering Place, 304 S. State St., Clarks Summit. All are invited to bring expired or unused medication to event for proper disposal. Info: 570-347-5616,ext.213.

Salvation Army Day, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 2 at Lahey Family Fun Park, 500 Morgan Hwy., Clarks Summit. Guests who make a donation to Salvation Army will receive a coupon for a free miniature golf game.

American Red Cross Blood Drive, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 6 at the Waverly Community House, 1115 N. Abington Road. Whole blood and double red blood cell donations will be taken at this drive. Walk-ins are welcomed, however, if you would like to schedule your donation for a specific time, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS (800-733-2767). Appointments will also be taken by the main office at the Waverly Community House (570-586-8191, extension 2). You may download the Red Cross Blood Donor app on the App Store, Google Play or by texting BLOODAPP to 90999. Donors who give blood at this drive will receive a $5 Amazon.com Gift Card, courtesy of Suburban Propane.

Rotary Club of the Abingtons Annual Fireworks show, July 3 at Abington Heights Middle School, Clarks Summit (rain date July 4). Food and amusement vendors will be open for business at 5 p.m. The fireworks show will begin at nightfall. Cost: $5 per vehicle. Please park in designated areas only.
