REMINDERS

NAMI Mental Health Support Group, 6 to 7:30 p.m. the last Tuesday of each month at the Wyoming County Special Needs Association (the log cabin building), 636 Route 29 North, Tunkhannock. Open to people with mental health issues, as well as family members and caregivers.

CHILDREN’S & TEENS’ EVENTS

Trinity Lutheran Church Day Camps, “Out of This World” July 30-Aug. 3 and “Under the Sea” Aug. 13-17. Both will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, daily, at the church, 205 W. Grove St., Clarks Summit. Children ages 3-5 years-old are eligible to attend the camps. Cost: $150 per camp week, which includes three hours of daily play, crafts and activities revolving around a central theme each week. Pancake and Sausage Breakfast, 8 to 11 a.m. June 9 at Dalton United Methodist Church, 125 S. Turnpike Road. Cost: $8 for adult dinners, $4 for children’s dinners. Eggs will be available for an additional $1.

Chicken & Biscuit or Ham Dinner, 4 to 6 p.m. June 20 at Clifford United Methodist Church, Main Street. Take out and dine in options available. Cost: $9.95, includes dinner, drink and dessert.

Abington Christian Academy Designer Purse Bingo, doors open 6 p.m., event starts at 7 p.m., June 8 at the Chinchilla Hose Company, 113 Shade Lane Road. OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS

Great Clarks Summit Cleanup, 10 a.m. to noon June 9 in the borough. Councilman Patrick Williams will organize volunteers to go to the area parks and help make them beautiful. Anyone willing to volunteer should wear appropriate attire and meet in the front of the Clarks Summit Borough Building, 304 S State St, Clarks Summit, at 10 a.m. Gloves, trash bags, and safety vests will be provided.

Memory Cafe, 10 a.m. June 8 at The Gathering Place, 304 S. State St., Clarks Summit. People with memory loss and their caregivers can share a cup of coffee and socialize with others. Info: gatheringplacecs@gmail.com or 570-575-0384.

Endless Mountains Amateur Radio Club Field Days, 2 to 5 p.m. Jan. 23 and 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 24 at the Emergency Operations Center, 3880 State Route 6, Tunkhannock. Info: 570-836-5030.

Rotary Club of the Abingtons Annual Fireworks show, July 3 at Abington Heights Middle School, Clarks Summit (rain date July 4). Food and amusement vendors will be open for business at 5 p.m. The fireworks show will begin at nightfall. Cost: $5 per vehicle. Please park in designated areas only. Trip to Venice, Florence, and Rome, July 10-17, 2019. The cost for the all-inclusive 8-day tour is $3,819 until May 1; $4119 after that date.Two days will be spent in each city.
