SCRANTON — Members of the 35th anniversary class of the Leadership Lackawanna Core Program hosted nearly 40 volunteers from Lowe’s, Penn State Master Gardeners and Fidelity Bank to assist with landscaping and painting projects at Nay Aug Park as part of their service project.

The Leadership Lackawanna group, consisting of eight professionals from different industries across the area, was tasked with revitalizing and rehabilitating the oldest pavilion at Nay Aug Park, which was constructed in 1897. Since last fall, the Leadership Lackawanna group partnered with a number of community organizations and regional businesses to raise funds and in-kind donations to complete the scope of its project.
