SCRANTON — The original location of The Flow Space in Clarks Summit opened on Aug. 9, 2025, in the basement of the popular health foods store, Everything Natural.
Since opening less than a year ago, they have opened their second location in Dunmore at 629 East Drinker St.
The Flow Space was voted best Fitness Facility in the Times Leader Media Group’s Best of Lackawanna readers’ choice awards contest.
Rachael Frutchey, owner, said The Flow Space is a Wellness Collective, specializing in Pilates, strength training, yoga, barre, and dance modalities.
The Clarks Summit location offers both non-heated and infrared heated class options, while Dunmore’s classes are all infrared heated.
Classes are offered throughout the day every day of the week at both locations — some days starting at 6 a.m. and some ending at 6 p.m.
The Flow Space also specializes in — and loves to provide — fun, private group classes for parties of any occasion.
Frutchey, 26, has been very passionate about movement and exercise since a young age due to its wide range of benefits, both statistically and personally. She started dancing at age 3 and her yoga practice at 14. Her parents, both being school teachers, inspired her and gave her the confidence to start sharing and teaching what she loved. She now has multiple teaching certifications and has been teaching yoga for almost 10 years, as well as pilates and strength training for 5 years.
Frutchey said The Flow Space is more than just a Fitness Facility.
“It is a community full of kind, hard-working, beautiful, positive people,” she said. “Friends and connections are made here. Judgment and negativity have no place. Class sizes are intimate, and everyone is seen and heard. All levels are welcome and encouraged to come and simply do their best, and get stronger and healthier because they did.”
Frutchey and her well-qualified instructors said they are extremely grateful to share what they love with their students. She said they always have your best interests in mind and love hearing about your goals and how they can help you achieve them.
“The Flow Space is truly honored to have been voted best Fitness Facility by The Times Leader and their readers,” Frutchey said. “Their mission has been to bring fun, challenging movement to our community, resulting in healthier, stronger, more confident individuals. Your vote has aided in the spread of our mission, and we could not be more grateful.”
