SCRANTON — Allied Services Integrated Health System announced the following “people on the move” in the organization’s hospice program.

Laura Marion, of Clarks Summit is the new Director of Patient Services for Allied Services Hospice.

Prior to joining Allied Services, she was employed by Traditional Hospice as a Marketing and In-Servicing RN. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Scranton and from 2009 to 2011, served as Nurse Manager of The University of Scranton’s Leahy Community Health and Family Center. She is a Board Member of the Foundation for Cancer Care in Scranton, former basketball player and now coach.

Theresa Doughty, of Dallas is the new Spiritual and Bereavement Counselor for the hospice.

She brings 20 years of experience in chaplaincy and social work within the medical field to her new role at Allied Services. Prior to joining Allied Services, she served patients and their families in hospice, skilled nursing, acute care, inpatient psychiatric, and home health settings. She earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Misericordia University, a Masters in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Newman University, and is currently pursuing a Certificate in Spiritual Direction.

Suzanne Corby, of Tunkhannock is a new member of the hospice team.

She brings with her 11 years experience in nursing, with more than 6 years dedicated to hospice nursing at Asera Care Hospice. She graduated from Misericordia University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition. In addition to hospice nursing, she has served patients in acute care, long-term care and skilled nursing care settings.
