SCRANTON — Health care service providers throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania will gather at Penn State Worthington Scranton on Saturday, Sept. 9 for the campus’ annual Children’s Health Fair. The free public event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sponsored in part through a grant from the Robert Y. Moffat Family Charitable Trust and Penn State Worthington Scranton’s Nursing Program, the event will provide a variety of free health screenings, child health and safety demonstrations and information useful for both parents and children. It will include fun educational activities, such as a Fire Safety Smoke House, fire truck and ambulance tours, therapy dogs, a healthy eating table and face painting.

Children in attendance will receive a free gift and giveaways from the various event participants.
