TUNKHANNOCK — Plans are well underway at Tunkhannock Business and Professional Women (BPW) for Wine Down 2018 Thursday May 17, a night at the movies at the historic Dietrich Theater. In addition to the movie, “Life of the Party,” there will be wine, finger foods, desserts, basket raffles and door prizes.

Tickets are available in advance from BPW members or at the door until sold out at a cost of $20 per person. Doors open at 6 p.m. the Dietrich Theater for the festivities; the movie starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Evans Theater. For tickets, call 570-840-2928.

This event is one of the major fundraisers undertaken annually by Tunkhannock BPW, a chapter of BPW PA, an organization dedicated to promoting full participation, equity and economic self-sufficiency for America’s working women. In recognition of the mission of the organization to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information, proceeds from Wine Down 2018 will support grants to community non-profits and young adult scholarships.

The Tunkhannock BPW chapter currently meets on the second Monday of each month at The Moose Lodge. Interested guests are welcome. Contact local chapter president Janet Roeber at 570-746-4050 for further information.
