Singer-songwriter Corky Staats will headline this month’s Open Mic Night at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24 in the Peg Fassett Performance Studio at the Dietrich Theater in Tunhannock. His original tunes talk of family, life experiences and his ongoing love of the outdoors, hiking and camping. His material reflects the sounds of Neil Young, John Prine and James Taylor. Staats is a founding member of Endless Mountains Trio, but continues to perform solo all over the area.

Sign-ups begin at 6:30 p.m. the night of Open Mic. Next month’s Open Mic Night will be held Friday, Sept. 28 with Dietrich Open Mic creator, Laurel Radzieski, who will read from her debut poetry collection, “Red Mother.”
