Hello Autumn! Time to get back to school, reconnect with friends and enjoy the beautiful scenery that Fall brings.
We had busy time this summer at Dalton Community Library. Our Summer Quest Reading programs finished on Aug. 12, and we want to thank everyone that participated! It was so good to see so many participants involved our programs.
Here are a few dates to jot down for this month’s upcoming activities. Every Tuesday our bridge group meets from 10 a.m. to noon. Our group is growing and everyone seems to be enjoying the friendship, learning experiences and challenges.
On Thursday, Sept. 22, our Kids Time program will resume for 8 weeks. The program will be similar to the activities we had this this past Summer with sign language and Chinese. It will be held on Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the library at 570-563-2014.
Our first Saturday Spotlight of the Fall will be on Sept. 24 from 10:30 to noon. We will be shining our light on “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens. The movie version of this book is currently in the theatres. Please bring your ideas for books/topics for future discussions. All are patrons are welcome to participate.
Looking ahead please keep in mind we will be having our Fall Book and Bake sale the 3rd Saturday of October, Oct. 15. If you have any books you would like to donate please drop them off at the library on our new porch or you can call and we can meet you at the side door of the library. All donations are greatly appreciated.
