Keystone College had athletes land weekly awards from the Colonial States Athletic Conference in baseball, softball and men’s track and field for the period ending May 1.
Adam Kelly, a graduate student outfielder on the baseball team, received the Player of the Week honor for the second straight week. His first award came after a team record four home runs in Game Two of an April 23 doubleheader against Clarks Summit.
Kelly was 9-for-13 with two doubles, a triple, four home runs, 13 RBI and eight runs scored in the doubleheader. Over the last 10 games, he has 23 hits, 30 RBI, five home runs and a .561 average.
Keystone won the April 23 doubleheader, 24-0 and 31-5.
The Giants have won four straight to improve to 10-2 in the CSAC and 20-15 overall.
Paige Mokychic, a senior outfielder from Tunkhannock, was 7-for-8 in two games against Clarks Summit to help Keystone clinch a CSAC playoff berth. That effort was part of a 9-for-20 effort in six games played over a three-day stretch.
Keystone is 8-8 and 14-16.
Senior Cameren Brice was named Men’s Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 400-meter dash in 51.71 in the Monarch Open April 30.
Despite the team’s winless season, Keystone senior defender Gabe Reyes was a first-team, all-CSAC selection in men’s lacrosse.
