Anna Pucilowski won two individual events and ran a leg of a winning relay April 30 when the Abington Heights girls easily won the team title of the Abington Heights Junior High Track and Field Invitational.

Pucilowski won the 1600-meter run by more than 18 seconds with a time of 5:25.50. She also won the 800 in 2:32.65 and ran a leg of the 3200 relay that won in 10:45.88.

Lily Scoblick finished second in the 100 hurdles in 18.13 while also placing third in the 300 hurdles and triple jump.

Emily Dennis cleared 4-6 to take second in the high jump.

Marley Gilboy was third in the 800 and also part of the 3200 relay win.

Katelynn Knight placed third in the 400.

Abington Heights led a field of 18 teams that scored points in the meet, posting a total of 115, well in front of Wallenpaupack’s 72½.

Valley View was third with 66, followed by North Pocono and Western Wayne with 64 then Pittston Area with 55.

The Abington Heights boys placed sixth out of 20 scoring teams with 44 points.

Western Wayne beat Mid Valley, 117-86½, for the team title.

Derek Williams led the Comets, taking second with a discus throw of 119-3.

Clark Defendorf was third in both the 100 and long jump while Charlie Stampien was third in the 300 hurdles.
