R.J. Schirg landed a prominent role on the East team for the May 29 Pennsylvania State Football Coaches Association East-West all-star game.

The Lackawanna Trail lineman was named as one of the team captains and started on offense for the East. Schirg played both offensive tackle and center for the East during a 49-14 loss to the West

This is the second year that the East-West games were split into Big School and Small School. They were played in a doubleheader at Bishop McDevitt in Harrisburg.
