Abington Heights followed up its state runner-up performance by competing as one of 23 girls teams from eight states in he Nike Cross Country Northeast Regionals at Wappinger Falls, N.Y.
Anna Pucilowski finished 55th in the 196-runner field with a time of 20:16.7 to lead the Comets, who finished 16th as a team.
District 2 champion Emma Horsley was 91st in 20:43.8.
Other Abington Heights finishers were: Kiera Crowell 117th; Marley Gilboy 119th; Hailey Hirtz 154th and Reese Morgan 183rd.
Runners from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont competed for eight spots in Nike Cross Country Nationals in Portland, Ore.
