Abington Heights won the District 2 Class 4A boys soccer title this fall, but the Comets are getting ready to see how far they can advance in a lower classification.

The Comets will be moving to Class 3A, according to the information revealed by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association in November.

The PIAA resets the classifications in every sport each two years after collecting enrollment information for each school, based separately on the number of boys and girls in the top three grades.

Abington Heights has a three-class boys enrollment of 442 and girls enrollment of 428.

Lackawanna Trail has 122 boys and 123 girls in its top three grades.

Scranton Prep has 260 boys and 269 girls.
